A More Personal Approach

Normally, we do not take a very personal approach when it comes to this website. We have had other projects where we prefer to interact with people but not for this project. We think that this topic needs to be discussed quite seriously so we like to take a colder stance towards our visitors.

However, lately, we have been thinking of interacting with our website visitors. I know that this will be a very strange and new approach for us because after all, what can we really talk about when it comes to herpes?

People like to suffer in silence and I think this is a topic that is quite taboo for a lot of people. But recently, I attended a small focus group and it turns out that while people prefer to sit in silence when they have a problem, they are really screaming out for help. They want to be heard. They want to have others know what they are feeling. Sure, they feel ashamed, but you need to help them open up.

This is what makes them feel better. And if you really want to help someone, it would be great to give them an ear to talk to. So now, we are going to slowly transition into a more interactive approach. We will have forums and user registration, and whatnot.

Let’s see what happens!

Herpes Research is Moving Really Fast, Have Hope

There is a lot happening in the world today especially in the world of healthcare. Right now the research is moving fairly quickly and there are lots of discoveries happening. Just this week there have been lots of incredibly important announcements.

What does this mean for us? For us, the herpes cure might really be close and we may not have to live with the symptoms of herpes anymore in our lives. Otherwise, we don’t know. Maybe the next new antiviral that comes along will totally kill of the disease and we will finally live a truly normal life.

We can only hope. The way information moves around the world these days is pretty astounding and we can only imagine that it’s only a matter of time till the next big breakthrough occurs. In the meantime, we just have to deal with our live and our pain the way we know how: just settle down and man up to it. Take our medicine. Stay healthy. This way, you don’t have to develop into any big outbreaks and we don’t have to really suffer. It’s close. I can feel it.

Just a quick word, the summer is getting really how and while we’re all busy waiting for the next great genital herpes treatment, we have to accept that it’s still going to be some time before we get any real final cure to the occassional outbreaks that we all suffer from in life. We’ve been reviewing the latest literature and the science is moving forward very fast and people are finding things every single day. While no final cure or treatment is available, we can still continue to live a normal life. There is hope right? We can still date. Yes, dating is still an option even when you have an incurable disease. Life is just sweet that way. People may hate us but that’s not the end of the life. When one in five people have a disease, then the dating scene for people with herpes, even while waiting for a treament is still rich. There are a lot of people out there who can love you for who you are. Don’t lose hope.
Just to make sure you know what I’m talking about, we’re talking about people for whom genital herpes treatments are not enough. Life sucks this way. Outbreaks happen and it can be humiliating but when you have no choice and treatments are just not there, the only way save for a cure is that you can keep calm and get your immune system up. Thank you.
